On My Wishlist for this Saturday…

By Barb Drozdowich

I’ve decided to participate in Book Chick City’s weekly Saturday meme – On my Wish List.  The problem is narrowing down what to reasonably put on my wish list!  Too many books I want to read!

The description for Miss Page-Turner’s blog is: “On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.”

Without further ado…..I have two books that I would like to include this week.  The first one is Ten Ways to be Adored when Landing a Lord by Sarah MacLean.  I have just finished the previous books – Nine Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake.  I found it refreshingly entertaining.  I had not read anything by Sarah MacLean and was very impressed by my first read of her’s.

Here’s the blurb from Sarah’s website: “Since being named “London’s Lord to Land” by a popular ladies’ magazine, Nicholas St. John has been relentlessly pursued by every matrimony-minded female in the ton. So when an opportunity to escape fashionable society presents itself, he eagerly jumps—only to land in the path of the most determined, damnably delicious woman he’s ever met!

The daughter of a titled wastrel, Lady Isabel Townsend has too many secrets and too little money. Though she is used to taking care of herself quite handily, her father’s recent passing has left Isabel at sea and in need of outside help to protect her young brother’s birthright. The sinfully handsome, eminently eligible Lord Nicholas could be the very salvation she seeks.

But the lady must be wary and not do anything reckless and foolish…like falling madly, passionately in love.”

The second book on my wishlist is a ways off.  It is How to Woo a Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries.  According to her website she now has cover art:

There is no blurb on Sabrina Jeffires’ website but we are told that it is Minerva’s story.  I have recently finished the first two books of the Hellion series – one I like more than the other – but Sabrina’s books are on my must by list!

Those are my entries for my Wishlist this week.  Check back next week to see what else is on my list!

I have to admit, I’m a bit afraid of historical romance. I did read Sarah’s YA novel The Season. I would like to try Nine Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake one of these days. Hope you get to read these soon 🙂
