On My Wishlist

By Barb Drozdowich

On my Wishlist is a Saturday meme hosted by Book Chick City.  It’s where we all post books on our wishlist.  To join the game, click here to take you to Book Chick City’s blog and enter your information in Mr Linky.  Then go on a hop and visit as many blogs as you can to appreciate what others have on their wishlists.

This could be books we just want to read, or books that have yet to be released.  Last week one of the books that I had on my wishlist was the new Sarah MacLean book.  I want to report that while Christmas shopping at Target last night, Santa decided to buy me that book 😉  I’ll be starting it as soon as I can.

This week the book on my Wishlist is the soon to be released book by Sophie Jordan – Wicked Nights With a Lover.  I have enjoyed the previous books that I have read by Sophia Jordan and am looking forward to this new one.  The blurb according to NetGalley is: “After learning that she will not survive beyond the year’s end, prim and lovely Marguerite Laurent intends to live her remaining days to the very fullest.  But hours before embarking upon a grand adventure with a former admirer, Marguerite is abducted by an unscrupulous rogue — who boldly announces his intentions to bed and wed her before the week is out!

Ash Courtland wants revenge, but his backstabbing business partner’s bewitching daughter isn’t about to surrender her innocence to the infuriating — if shockingly attractive — cad who took her captive. Yet Ash’s touch makes her tremble with desire…and resisting the heat of his passion could cost Marguerite her last, best chance for ecstasy.”

I think it sounds intriguing, and I love the cover.

Hi Chrissie! Some of the historical romance covers coming out lately seem to feature absolutely stunning gowns and incredible used of color. Sometimes it’s difficult to NOT choose a book for it’s cover alone 🙂
