This book came as part of my Blaze subscription for the month of December. I like having the Blaze books around as they are spicy little reads that I can pop in my purse to read whenever I find myself sitting and waiting.
Marlie Waters is a web designer who works from her house. Her fiance has recently decided he doesn’t want to get married and leaves Marlie trying to afford the house that they had built. Luckily, Ty, a childhood friend is waiting for his house to be finished and needs somewhere to stay. His rent money helps her with her mortgage payments, but his love life is being cramped by her always being at home. Ty’s girlfriend arranges a fund-raising auction and Ty decides to win Marlie the date package called “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. He figures this will get her out of the house, and meeting some eligible men and will give him some freedom to spend time with his girlfriend. What he doesn’t count on is his growing feelings for Marlie and his jealousy over her dates.
A Man For All Seasons is a cute holiday read. Marlie is a tomboy coming out of her shell and Ty is the man who finally sees Marlie for the woman she has become. The interaction between them is fun and playful – almost brother/sister like at the beginning of the book growing into a spark-flying rip-your-clothes-off, powerful chemistry attraction as the story progresses. The Twelve Days of Christmas dates were delightful. This author has an outstanding imagination to come up with such a delightful collection of outings for Marlie! All in all, a delightfully funny, spicy Christmas read!
