Into The Old World Reading Challenge 2011

I’m going to attempt several (ok more than several) challenges starting in January.  The “Into The Old World Reading Challenge” set up by My Love Affair With Books and Splash Of Our Worlds is perfect for me.  The comment was made: “Point of this challenge is to show some gratitude to old books as well. Everyone is talking about the new books and getting ARCs for them, but the old ones deserve attention too right?”  This is very true.  I feel compelled to keep up with the new releases and the ARCs heading my way.  The older books in my TBR pile are just getting older and still not being read.  This challenge should help me clear out some of my older books!

    I have the same issue too – wanting to keep up while having so many books on the TBR shelves already. I think I’ll be accepting fewer review books this year (going to try anyway). Good luck with the challenge 🙂

      Hi Mary,
      I know what you mean. I’ve so busy this fall trying to gather as many new release type books as I can that my TBR has just been getting larger and larger. It’s time to take in hand! I know as a reader, I enjoy seeing reviews of books that aren’t new releases because I want to find it and read it, the book is much cheaper!
