Today is Wednesday and Jill at Breaking the Spine sponsors a weekly meme that allows to talk about the books we are waiting for. (in some fashion or another) This week I’m going to talk about the three books I ordered from Paperback Swap for my Christmas reading challenges that still haven’t arrived. To be fair, I haven’t been to the post office since Friday, and they are probably sitting waiting for me……anyways. Here we go….
1) A Highlander for Christmas by Sandy Clair. I’m always a sucker for a good Scottish story, and one that has a partially naked man on the cover…..better yet 🙂
2) One Cowboy, One Christmas by Kathleen Eagle. This Silhouette Special Edition caught my eye when I was wondering through the Christmas titles for some reason. Hopefully it is entertaining!
3) Together by Christmas and other stories is an anthology of 4 short stories by various authors I’m familiar with. This one caught my eye because I’d just finished a book by Nicola Cornick and really enjoyed it!!
So…..what are you waiting on??
Jennifer

I don’t have anything that I am particulary waiting on. However your pick look good!

I try not to look at the new releases that are too far in the future – too upsetting when you have to wait months and months for a book!
Julia Rachel Barrett
I like your picks too! I’m waiting on some dvds and a couple unique writer-related gifts. I have so many many many books…all over my house.

My Husband thinks my TBR pile will need it’s own room soon. Isn’t he funny??

I’m currently waiting on the next book in the Dresden Files series (Ghost Story), but that’s not out until the end of March 2011.
I think I might read a Christmas book next… I picked up Falling for Christmas by Debbie Macomber last week and it has a couple of stories in it.
I hope your books arrive soon. Enjoy them when they do!
Barb
Hi Nikki-ann,
Thanks for stopping by! I also hope my books arrive soon! Maybe I need to take some Christmas cookies to my local PO 🙂

I’ve never like seasonal reads–either the Nov/Dec editions of magazines or books, but I like the sound of A Highlander for Christmas…LOL…You may have made a new convert. Nice picks. Thanks for stopping by earlier.

Hi Barb – I’m following back some of my new followers to see what’s going on in the blog world. It looks like you read some of my favorite authors…especially Julia Quinn. I also love Mary Balogh’s Regencies. I prefer the contemporary titles from Lisa Kleypas. She has a new contemporary series that is also a holiday book…Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. I’m on the reserve list at the library for it. Happy Reading!
Barb
HI Linda! Thanks for the visit and the follow!
