Welcome to Wednesday. There are two memes that I like to follow on Wednesdays.
The first is Catcha Wave Blog Hop hosted by Blogging Hints. This is just a midweek blog hop hosted by a blog that offers lots of Blogging Hints – just as it’s name suggests. I’ve learned lots from this blog and made lots of friends during this blog hop. Pop over and join in the fun!
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Jill has us chat about books we are waiting on. They may be new releases that we are waiting for, or books arriving in the mail, etc.
This week I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of Reckless by Anne Stuart. The first book of this trilogy, Ruthless, I read a few weeks ago because of a review I read. I was so taken with it, I went in search of the next in the series – Reckless. Here’s the blurb from Anne Stuart’s website:
Adrian Alistair Rohan lost his faith, and now, a dedicated member of the depraved Heavenly Host, he loses himself in his only pleasure: the seduction and debauchery of
beautiful women. Rich, charming and devastatingly skilled in the arts of love, he never fails in his conquests…until Charlotte Spenser.
Charlotte is facing a desolate, passionless future, none of which matters to Adrian, who imagines her a toy until better prey arrives. But beneath her drab exterior, Charlotte is a woman as enchanting as she is brilliant and, lured into Adrian’s world, soon she becomes the seducer, and he the seduced.…
The next book I am looking forward to I actually have a copy of, but all this Christmas reading is occupying my time 🙂 Once Upon a Scandal by Delilah Marvell I requested from NetGalley, and it is sitting on my computer, patiently waiting to be noticed 🙁 Soon…..I’m almost finished the last of the Christmas stories! Here’s the blurb about this one:
Lady Victoria Jane Emerson left behind her girlish notions of romance when Jonathan deserted her without a backward glance. Now the time has come when she must finally choose a husband, and she has vowed to marry someone who will never break her heart.
Jonathan Pierce Thatcher, Viscount Remington, has returned home, free of all his family’s debts. Only to discover that by some miracle he has been chosen to vie for the hand of his beloved Victoria. To convince his only love to once again believe in the magic of love and the promise of desire will be his greatest challenge yet. And one he cannot fail!
That’s it for this week……what are you waiting on???

Wow, Reckless sounds absolutely delicious, which means I need to get off my butt and find a copy of Ruthless first. Thanks so much for the hot tip! 🙂

Great list Barb. I have Reckless but haven’t started it yet. I’m going to add the Delilah book to my list.

Oh I like the sound of Reckless, I like a woman that can turn the tables in a romantic situation:) Thanks for sharing these!
The first one was good – strong heroine, I hope this one is strong also!
I need to participate in one of the Waiting on Wednesday memes, but every time I think about it, so many books come to mind that I can’t wait to read, that I just give up trying to narrow it down to a few! lol. Your selections sound like a delicious escape into a historical romance. Its been a while since I read something in that genre although it used to be my genre of choice. Thanks for stopping by my blog last week, sorry its taken me a few days to return the favor!
Hi Donna! Thanks for the visit and the follow! I know what you mean about too many books! My TBR pile is completely out of hand!
