Exciting Saturday Night with an award!

Here it is Saturday night!  When I was younger and single, I was just starting to get ready for a night on the town.  Now I’m eyeing the clock and my newest read 🙂  It’s been raining all day and feels damp.  My family has been sick and getting better this week, so it’s been a long week of cuddling alternating with whining.   I was so happy when I got the note from my friend Theresa that I had won an award!  What a perfect end to my week 🙂

I actually won this award earlier in the week and simply didn’t have time to deal with it.  I’m taking a few minutes to thank Theresa from Fade Into Fantasy and Cat the Librarian from Cat’s Thoughts.

I’ve been working with Theresa on the BLB ebook tour.  She has been putting in huge amounts of time so that we on the tour can read some excellent books by relatively new authors and  give these authors some much deserved publicity for their work.  How she does this with a blog to run an Etsy store to run, and a family full of kids is beyond me, but her time is certainly appreciated by me!

For the award we need to list 4 guilty pleasures, so here goes:

1)  Books……like we don’t all have this guilty pleasure!  I run an online bookstore and I read lots.  I am completely surrounded by books.  I actually spent part of today trying to clean up the piles of books I have lying everywhere and make some sense of the piles.

2) Coffee – or better yet, Lattes…..our house runs on coffee.  We wake up early and I’m pretty much nonfunctional until I’ve had at least one cup.  First thing Monday morning I woke to coffee all over the floor – something wrong with the coffeemaker 🙁  All I could think of was how could I face the day with no coffee if we couldn’t fix the blessed thing.

3) Fuzzy jammies and fuzzy slippers.  I probably live in the warmest part of Canada, but I still find it cold in the winter!  My mother tells me that I have  thin blood….

4) Cookies – I can pass up every dessert except chewy chocolate chip cookies!
