BLB Ebook Tour-Honeytrapped by Justine Elyot

By Barb Drozdowich

Welcome to my stop on the BLB Ebook Tour for Honeytrapped by Justine Elyot!

Honeytrapped is one of the books included in the Fool for Love Giveaway Hop.  So let’s learn more about this book and it’s author so that you can decide if you are interested in winning a copy of this book!

Honeytrapped is just one of the books that have been published by Justine Elyot!  We’ll talk about the books she has published in a bit.  Here’s the blurb:

It’s her job to snare him, but this trap might be more complicated than she thought.

When Tilly went into business as a private detective, she thought it would be all brilliant deductive reasoning and car chases. She was not prepared for the deluge of calls from suspicious lovers hiring her to entrap their love rat partners, but when times are hard, you take what’s on offer – which is how, despite two left feet, she came to find herself learning the Argentine tango.

But is the tango teaching lothario all he seems to be? And when he makes his hot Latin moves on her, will she really be able to stay professional and resist them?

Tilly finds herself tangled up in the tango, hot on the tail of a mystery. She even manages to fit in a car chase, though the brilliant deductive reasoning doesn’t work out so well. But where her brain might miss out, her body certainly doesn’t. They don’t call sex the horizontal tango for nothing, it seems.

As you can assume from the blurb, Tillie is trying to make a living as a private investigator and has been hired by a woman who thinks her fiance is cheating on her.  She wants Tillie to try to trap her finace, thereby proving that he’s likely to cheat on her after they marry.  Somewhat uncertain about this whole situation, Tilly dresses to the nines and heads off to Norman’s dance class to try to trap him.

You just know that this is going to go wrong!  As I’m saying “I don’t think this is a good idea” in my head, what I was picturing would happen was wrong!  I’ll leave you to find out what happens to Tilly yourself.

As you can see on the cover, this short little story is called a Lust Bites.  It’s under 50 pages and alot is packed into that short space.  I liked this book, and felt that it was a great little read to fill an hour!  Here’s an excerpt from it to give you a taste of Justine’s writing.

“After a few trips and mis-steps and one near-sprain, her legs began to do what Norman bade them to. His hold was so firm that she began to feel safe, began to yield up her lower body to follow his, and after forty minutes, she was almost gliding. His arms now seemed like a second home, and his distracting handsomeness became something to embrace rather than try to ignore.

You’re being held and made dance floor love to by a beautiful man. Enjoy it, Tilly. It might never happen again.

“You see, you see,” he enthused, whirling her over to the CD player and adding music to their head spinning mix. “I was right. You can do this. Keep going, Tilly, let’s make this really interesting.”

He began to vary his steps a little more, picking up pace so that it seemed Tilly was being stalked around the dance floor by a predator intent on capturing her. She couldn’t fight it, couldn’t escape. All she could do was surrender, becoming looser in his arms, flowing along with his every move.

Her senses were dazzled and nothing existed but the heat of him and the ferocious rhythm, taking over her mind, seeping into her bloodstream.

“Now look at me!” he suddenly insisted, and she couldn’t focus at first, seeing a blur of loveliness framed by unruly dark hair, but slowly the mist cleared and his eyes, black as night, were fixed on hers in a way that screamed ‘Come to bed, now!’ and suddenly Tilly was scared, embarrassed, mortified, and she jerked back, trying to wriggle free from his iron grasp with a whimper of shame.”

What are you doing?” hissed Norman, pulling her back. “No, no, no, don’t be silly, no.” One hand came up to the back of her head, then lowered to her neck, holding it levered upwards so he could search her face. “What did I do to spook you?”

Tilly, lips parted, breathing rapidly, trembling in his arms, simply shook her head. “This is too much,” she gasped. “It’s too intense…oh God. You are too much. You scare me. You make me feel things. I’m sorry, I’m not making sense, I’m babbling, I’ll shut up in a minute if you just…”

She shut up. Not because the words stopped coming, but because a pair of lips had sealed her mouth from above, quietening the stammered flow with the overpowering efficiency of a lightning strike. For a few seconds, Tilly’s body went into panicked revolt, the trembling so violent it resembled seizure, and then, as Norman’s sweet, hard heat flowed into her and his strong arms wrapped her tight, she began to loosen, letting him in, letting it all go, letting it happen.”

Justine Elyot has several books to her credit.  In addition to Honeytrapped, she has published Mi Amore: Sempre, Competative Nature, The Business of Pleasure, Master Me Anthology – A Very Personal Trainer, as well as several short stories in other anthologies, and her latest full length book called On Demand.

Although I want you to enter my giveaway, you can increase your chances to win a copy of this book by heading over to Justine’s blog and commenting your way to a copy!  Or you can simply buy a copy from Total E-Bound Publishing.
