Tony’s Haven by Dominique Eastwick

Tony Sherman may be a modern day Adonis and a well-know ladies man, but hiding beneath his carefree, playboy persona is a man who knows how to be discrete. He keeps his desire to protect all those he loves from being seen by anyone, particularly his family. Fate intervenes when he uses his charm to beg a favor from a co-worker, a women who is unaffected by his charisma as she is by his looks.

Haven Pelletier is anything but the kind of woman usually found on Tony’s arm or in his bed. She’s mousy and rubenesque, and unmoved by his Adonis appearance. But when circumstances bring them together, she sees right through his tarnished armor—to the true man underneath.

As Haven learns more about Tony, she discovers secrets hidden deep in his past and a Man who might just steal her heart if she lets him. When life throws obstacles in their way, can Tony be the Knight in Shining Armor Haven needs both in and out of the bedroom?

Tony’s Haven by Dominique Eastwick is unexpected page-turner with super hot sex and a tear worthy happily every after.  This author has produced an outstanding story about real people in realistic situations.  A book that everyone can identify with!

Tony’s Haven is an outstanding story about Haven, an overweight single mother of one daughter, and Tony Sherman, the playboy of her workplace. Haven has had a hard live.  She left university and married the man she thought she loved only to have her marriage fall apart when she became pregnant.  He husband left her while she was delivering their daughter.  She came home from the hospital to a foreclosure sign on their house and her belongings in the driveway.  She has pulled her life together in the intervening years.  She and her daughter live in a small apartment, and she has a job where she is proving her worth.  She has applied for a new job, and the person who has come to talk to her about the job is Tony Sherman, the golden boy at her workplace.  Not only is he stunning, but he brings in more accounts than any of the other executives combined.  Tony takes it upon himself to help Haven work to complete the requirements so that she would qualify for a promotion the next time around.  The only thing he asks of her is to pretend to be his girlfriend for a weekend of skiing with his family.  She agrees.

The time that Tony and Haven spend together allows them to develop their friendship.  Tony starts to see Haven as a person of talent, rather than the full figured woman that gets snickers behind her back.  He takes her shopping for new clothes and suddenly sees a new, more confident Haven – someone he is attracted to!

This story is a page-turner.  Ms. Eastwick has developed an outstanding cast of characters.  Like any office environment, the story has the workers, the gossipers, the unfair bosses. There are a collection of family members – all well meaning, but too close to see the forest for the trees.  There are alot of unfair assumptions made, and people are judged by their surface, not what is underneath.

At first glance this story is a love story between unlikely lovers.  This story is like a fairy tale where the hero gets his princess and the wicked witch gets poisoned by her own apple.  Frankly I like stories like this that have me in tears one minute and then cheering then next.  This story, in reality, is like an onion, you just keep peeling back layers to find more layers underneath.  I thoroughly enjoyed peeling back the layers of this story and I encourage you to give this story a go also!
