Welcome to Sugarbeat’s Books – The Home of the Romance Novel
Today, being Friday, I’m taking the opportunity to talk about some of the excitement that’s been happening over the past week or so.
This is the second year that I’ve attended the conference. This year I had the pleasure of not only attending, but actually participating on several panel. I also had the honor of moderating the panel with Kristen Lanb. If you haven’t read one of her books, at least drop by her blog and enjoy what she has to share.
When this conference comes around next year, sign up and have fun with us!
Second piece of new on the slate for today is to remind everyone of the anniversary party over at The Romance Reviews. I’ve been reviewing for them for a while, and they know how to throw a good bookish party! The party continues til the end of the month. Drop by and score some prizes.
The last thing to comment on is the box that I received this week. You see, I entered a contest a bit ago to become an Avon Addict and I won a spot! Imagine my surprise as I don’t usually win anything. An Avon Addict gets free ebooks, but so far I haven’t been able to read any of them as they are only good for 10 days and I have too many other reading commitments. A courier showed up at my door earlier in the week with a bit box of goodies! The picture doesn’t do this justice. I got a cozy blanket with the Avon logo on it. I got a bunch of swag for various books. I got a copy of How Miss Rutherford Got Her Goove Back by Sophie Barnes, Confessions of a Slightly neurotic Hitwoman by JB Lynn and The Cowboy Take s Bride by Lori Wilde. I also got 5 copies of Between the Duke and the Deep Blue Sea by Sophia Nash. I think I feel a giveaway coming on!
I hope you have all had a great week, and drop back by on Saturday for Steamy Saturday!
