Happy Friday Follows and Hops

Happy Almost Friday!

Where I live, the next two weeks are spring break so Friday will be my last day of sanity!  If my posts stop making sense, just take pity on me, things will be back to normal in two weeks when school goes back in 🙂

It’s been a busy week, but not alot posted.  Next week you’ll want to drop back by as I’m participating in Indie Reads Appreciation Week, hosted by That Bookish Girl.  I’ll be having 4 independent authors drop by to say hi and books being given away.  Next Thursday is the beginning of Lucky Leprechaun Hop hosted by I am a Reader not a Writer.  There are currently 258 blogs signed up for this event.  If you are interested in joining me and others in either event, just head to the respective blogs and sign up!  If you are interested in winning some bookish swag, keep next week in mind!

On to the Friday activities…..

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee. It’s a hugely popular Friday activity. We link up our blogs and then spend all weekend dropping by on old friends and making new ones.

The question for this week is: “who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?”  My answer is I’m a mommy to 2, wife to a wonderful husband, employee at the local school board, part-time on-line bookseller, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, etc.  What about you??

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-For-Books.  Jennifer’s question this week is : “If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?”

My answer: $80.00 in a bookstore is the stuff of dreams!!  I have this wonderful little used bookstore a few miles from my house.  His stuff is ever changing, but I often see more than I can afford when I go in.  I think I would take my $80.00 and start at “A” and work my way through my wish list, picking up what every he had in stock.  Must check lottery tickets…..

Bitten by Paranormal Romance hosts an 18 & Over Book Blogger Tag Along Friday.  This is for the book blogs that review some over 18 material.  There aren’t many of use that join, but that’s fine!  This week’s question is how many erotica titles do I purchase in a week?  The answer is I can remember the last time I purchased anything!  Right now, I’m kept very busy with books from the various tours I participate in and The Romance Reviews sends me lots.  If I find myself lacking, there is always NetGalley.

Friday Follows and Hops for March 4th

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone had a great week (filled with reading!)

I’ve had a guest filled week:

On Monday we had Carolyn McCray here to talk about Bestseller for a Day.  She wrote 30 Pieces of Silver and through the efforts of a lot of people, we pushed this book way up the Amazon lists.  It wasn’t number 1 at the end of the day, but it was significantly higher than where it started.  It was fun to participate!

Tuesday, I had Rob Tobin, a fellow Canadian, drop by to talk about his new book God War: Living with Angels.  If you missed this post, click on the link and read about his book.  Sound pretty cool and it’s on my wish list!

Tuesday was also the beginning of the Grand Opening of The Romance Reviews.  They are giving away over 200 prizes over the month of March.  They have author interviews, games to play, puzzles….drop by and see what’s going on!  I have a blurb on my blog or you can visit the TRR and wander around

Thursday I hosted Ami Blackwelder and she was talking about her book Shifters of 2040. As one commenter pointed out, the cover looks pretty spooky, but if you read the blurb, it sounds like a pretty interesting book – and it’s one of a series!

Now we are at Friday – not only is this the special day where we say hi to old friends and meet new ones, but I’m participating in Diva’s March Madness Hop.  I’m giving away my ARC of How To Woo A Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries.  I loved this book!  You can check out my review on Saturday – it is the third book in a series of 5 but can easily be read as a stand alone.  I’m also offering up a gift card so you can choose your own book!  Be sure to sign up for that giveaway!

This week’s question is How Many Books Do I Read in a Month?  The answer varies widely. I tend to read a book every 2 days or so.  I guess that makes about an average of 15 per month!

Happy Friday All!

I’m happy to report that *fingers crossed* everyone in my household is seemingly healthy! No colds, no fevers, no influenza, no runny noses!  Now if we can only stay like that for a while!

I am also happy to sum up what little got accomplished this week, remind you of events coming next week (should be an exciting week) and then join everyone in our weekly visits!

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee, and attracts lots of book bloggers each week.  This week she asks us what is our favorite TV Show.  I don’t watch much TV – I’d much rather be reading a book, but if I happen to sit down at the right time, I’m a sucker for The Big Bang Theory.

My second Friday event this week is Book Blogger Hop sponsored by Crazy-For-Books.  The question this week is would you change the name of your blog if you could.  In a word, no!  I like the name so it stays!

The third activity that I’m going to participate in is the 18 & Over Book Blogger Tag Along Friday Sponsored by Laurie at Bitten by Paranormal Romance.  This is a Friday follow for blogs that occasionally feature material for the mature set!  Laurie wants to know my favorite author.  I have lots and lots of favorite authors 🙂  And they seem to change.  For example, this week I had the opportunity to read the latest by Sabrine Jeffries – so this week, my favorite was her.  Next week, it will likely be someone new!
