Forbidden Passions by Aurora Rose Lynn

By Barb Drozdowich

ISBN: 9781935817338

Release: Nov 2010

Source: I received a copy of this book to read and review from The Romance Reviews

Beautiful Belle Cassel has a secret identity that might destroy the man she loves. Randall Lambert is that man. He is pressing past the point of no return to discover who she really is. Unknown to either, the tragic future is only minutes around the corner and will destroy much of what they’ve believed in…including each other. The minutes are ticking….

Belle Cassel and Randall Lambert  meet every Wednesday afternoon for 2 hrs of smoking hot sex.  After a chance meeting in a park 4 months ago, they have been burning up the sheets on a regular basis.  Belle is the stepdaughter of very wealthy man and men flock to her for her money.  Because of this she refuses to tell Randall anything about herself.  Randall is the son of a billionaire hotelier and is falling in love with Belle.  His vivid imagination has him wandering through all the possibilities of why Belle won’t tell him who she is and he is determined to find out.

Although this is a short story, it seems longer.  The author covers alot of ground in just over 30 pages!  The relationship between Belle and Randall is well developed with us being privy to both of their thoughts.  Their history is woven into present actions in a seamless fashion so the reader finds out about well-developed characters.  The chemistry between Belle and Randall shines through.  The pages almost sizzle as you read.  The author’s descriptive writing style is almost lyrical.  Places and events come alive under her pen and it is easy to picture the story in your mind as you are reading it.

Forbidden Passions is a well-written, spicy little short story that is well worth reading.  For those of you apprehensive of the Erotic classification, this book is no more graphic than the average romance novel and a joy to read.

This little ebook is selling for only $1.99 at Smashwords and Amazon

Model Fantasy by Abby Gordon

By Barb Drozdowich

Publisher: Wild Rose Publisher

ASIN:B004IK94AU

Release: Jan 2011

Source: I received this book from TRR in exchange for a review – see review here.

Supermodel Francine is the sexiest woman alive, and she just found her fiance cheating on her. A tipsy conversation about her erotic fantasies brings about the sexual encounter of her dreams.

Having withdrawn from society life, Grant seizes the chance to dominate the woman he’s lusted after for years. But afterward, Grant must again deal with the spotlight when Francine’s ex strikes back at her publicly. Can they overcome life’s obstacles to make fantasy reality?

Fantasy driven, naughty and full of fireworks – that’s Model Fantasy. Ladies, get out the asbestos gloves to handle this book…..it’s so hot!  If you like BDSM stories, I think you’ll love this great little story.

Francine Lincoln has been called the World’s Sexiest Woman.  She’s a model who’s face and figure grace magazines the world over.  When she arrives home early from travelling for work, she not only finds her fiance screwing another model, but hears herself being described as an Ice Princess. Devastated, she quietly leaves, checks herself into a hotel and calls her sister for some sympathy.  Her sister suggests that she goes down to the hotel bar and asks the bartender to serve her no more than 5 drinks and makes sure she gets back to her room.  Some time later, and somewhat drunk, she has a discussion with two men about her most secret fantasies.  When she wakes the next morning, things are a bit fuzzy until a driver shows up at her door to whisk her off to  experience these fantasies!

Grant Franklin is a wealthy man who has been burned in the past and is leery of appearing in public.  He jealously protects his privacy!  He and a group of friends and cousins have formed “The Club” to cater to their BDSM tastes ranging from mild to extreme.  He sees a picture of Francine years before he actually meets her, but decides that the publicity that comes with her isn’t something that he can tolerate.  When his friends run into Francine in the hotel bar, what he arranges suits them both.  Twenty-four hours of no-names, no-strings, fantasy-fulfilling sex.

The sex is hot and all consuming for both Grant and Francine.  The fantasies are naughty, and the sexy is plentiful!  This short little book races along, taking the reader for a ride.  The main characters are well developed and set sparks off each other.  We are given a fair amount of history of both main characters to explain their actions.  There are many secondary characters in this little short story.  Model Fantasy is actually written as a prequel for Abby Gordon’s first book – Beck and Call.  I had a bit of trouble keeping the various secondary characters straight, and it might have helped to read the books in the order that they were written in!

Overall a hot and spicy read to warm the cold winter nights!  I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.
