This is the day where I post a review of a book that I’ve read that is on the steamier side of romance. Today’s book is one that I got from the author. This is a great little novella that you really need to pick up!

Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn’t worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he’s ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he’s definitely willing.
Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn’t an option for Amber. He barely works, can’t manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?
Amber’s Muse is a short little hot novella that will steam up your glasses! The action between Amber and Jax starts as a fling, but ends in a happily ever after.
Amber works as a librarian during the day, but is trying to make a name for herself as an author at night. She has been writing erotic romances, but feels that she needs more “hands on” experience from which to pull her love scenes from. Her neighbor, Jax always seems to be popping up at closing time to use a computer quickly or to find a book. He then seems to scam a ride home from her and often tries to include dinner. Amber sees Jax as a bit of a scatterbrain who is always mooching food or money from her. Jax is just trying to get Amber to notice him and doesn’t really understand how his efforts are being perceived. In the meantime, Amber is having increasingly erotic dreams involving Jax and decides to proposition him as a “test subject”. Jax jumps at the chance to step things up with Amber.
This is a great little book! I really enjoyed the characters. Jax is just such a guy. Bumbling along, but getting no where with Amber. Amber is frustrated with this loser who she seems to be so attracted to! She is determined not to end up with someone who she has to support. Sadly, Jax’s antics to get her attention, leave Amber with the impression that he is a bit of a loser.
Pick up this book and lose yourself in this well written little story for a bit. I look forward to reading more by this author!
