Teton Sunset by Peggy Henderson

By Barb Drozdowich 2 Comments

22080391Book 3 in the Teton Romance Trilogy

Life for Lucas Walker is a constant adventure, a daily game to be won in the vast Teton wilderness. Facing every challenge head-on, he values the freedom to go where he wants, when he wants, and without attachments to any one person.

She is known to the native people of the land as Ghost Woman. Hiding from a terrifying past, she has lived alone and under conditions too harsh for even the hardiest men. Trusting another person is something she can’t do. Forced to put her life in the hands of a man who dares her to confront everything from which she’s tried to escape, she struggles to protect the walls she has built around her identity . . . and her heart.

Brought together through life or death situations, Lucas and his unwilling charge find themselves fighting dangers only found in the untamed mountains. Their battle for survival teaches them the ultimate lesson in how to trust and love someone. When the past catches up to them, they discover that the heart can’t always be protected; sometimes the only way to be safe is to open it.

Teton Sunset can be purchased on Amazon

Why do you need to read this book? Other than finishing the trilogy, this is simply an outstanding romance! Lucas is a great hero and “Ghost Woman” kicks ass! What she survives and thrives in would kill most modern women! I highly recommend this story – the whole trilogy in fact, but especially this one!

The Airman’s E-mail Order Bride by Cora Seton

By Barb Drozdowich 8 Comments

21845873Tormented by the knowledge that his father died thinking the worst of him, Colt Hall never meant to come home to Chance Creek. But with his brothers banding together to rebuild the family’s old ranch, he’s finding it hard to stay away. In accordance with the conditions for them to inherit the spread, Colt must soon marry. Too bad the only woman he wants is Heather Ward, the girl he walked away from years ago without saying good-bye.

Heather hid a secret for twelve long years, but when the Halls moved back to town it was only a matter of time before the truth came out. Now everyone but Colt knows he has a son. She’ll get one chance to convince Colt to forgive her—and become the father Richard has always longed for. If she answers Colt’s online ad for a temporary wife, will he fall in love with her before he learns the truth?

Colt knows it’s crazy to try to find a wife through an internet ad, and it’s even crazier to fall for a stranger who wants far more than a temporary marriage, but Helena Warner reminds him so much of Heather, he begins to wonder if the two might be the same woman. Heather can’t believe she’s using a fake name to seduce the father of her own child, but is it possible Colt might know more about her true identity than he’s letting on?

Once all the lies and secrets are stripped bare, Colt and Heather must answer the ultimate question: can a love interrupted ever be renewed?

Why do you need to read this book? Although I was looking forward to this book coming out so that I could finish this series, it completely took me off guard. By the time I was finished, I was thinking that it was the best of the group. I loved the story of Colt and Heather – great ending to a great series!

The Navy Seal’s Christmas Bride by Cora Seton

By Barb Drozdowich 7 Comments

23602050It’s Christmas time at Crescent Hall, but don’t expect peace, harmony and goodwill among men. When Mason Hall and his wife, Regan, invite their friends to stay for the holidays, sparks fly in an epic battle of the sexes, military style!

Navy SEAL Dan Hemmins goes head to head with soldier Sarah Metlin to prove once and for all that woman can’t possibly qualify for an elite branch of the military, but when Sarah proves she’s not just one of the most qualified warriors he’s ever met, she’s also one of the smartest and sexiest, too, he’ll do whatever it takes to get close to her, even if he has to challenge her to another contest…or three…or five!

Why do you need to read this book? Although when I originally read this one, I couldn’t figure out why it had been created. When I got to the end of the series it made sense. I loved the competitive nature of the two main characters. Short story with a quick pace and memorable characters.
